The Ford Ranger and the Toyota Tacoma continue to be among the top-selling midsize pickups on the road. For may drivers, they are more convenient than a full-size pickup. Ford F-150 Lightning vs Tundra i-Force Max
The question of why Ford beats Toyota enters an entirely new domain with the introduction of electric trucks. Ford has outdone itself with the impressive F-150 Lighting. This is an all-electric pickup truck that can tow as much as 10,000 pounds and travel as much as 320 miles on a single charge. You can charge your Ford F-150 Lightning at home via either a 110-volt or 220-volt connection, and even faster charging speeds are available when you have access to a DC fast-charging station. Toyota has opted not to introduce an all-electric version of the Tundra and Instead give us the i-Force Max, which is an optional upgrade to the current V6 powertrain that adds an electric motor and a battery pack.
Ford Escape vs Toyota RAV-4
Small crossovers are only behind pickup trucks in terms of their overall popularity in America, and among the most popular are the Escape from Ford and the RAV-4 from Toyota. Both vehicles start at similar MSRPs and are available with both standard and hybrid powertrains. The Escape and RAV-4 both come loaded with advanced driver-assistance technologies and were both selected as an IIHS Top Safety Pick, but the Escape outperformed the RAV-4 in NHTSA crash testing. The Escape also provides a more robust standard equipment package and uses higher-quality materials in its cabin construction.
Ford Explorer vs Toyota Highlander
Among drivers who want a midsize three-row SUV, the new Ford Explorer continues to be a top option. The Highlander also sells well, but its higher starting MSRP does alienate certain consumers. Ford also offers many more personalization options for the Explorer, and that includes specialized trims like the Timberline. Ford offers higher overall performance for drivers who want it but also a highly efficient hybrid powertrain, and that model outperforms the equivalent Highlander when it comes to fuel performance. There is no advantage between the vehicles when it comes to available and standard driver-assistance technologies, but Ford does distinguish itself with the Sync 4 software.
