The Ford crew cab has four full-size doors and is paired with a bed that measures 5 feet 6 inches. The Chevrolet crew cab also has four full-size doors and is paired with a slightly longer bed that measures 5 feet 11 inches.

The 2022 Ford F150 Lightning has two rows and seats up to five. Headroom ranges from 40.8 inches up front to 40.4 inches in the rear area. Front legroom is 43.9 inches, and second-row legroom is 43.6 inches. As of this writing, Chevrolet has not published the interior specifications for the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV. However, using the Silverado 1500 with a crew cab as a reference, we suspect that the Silverado EV will offer similar roominess to the Ford. From a consumer perspective, Ford is the current winner here. The WT is minimalistic. The RST has a more upscale interior but is six months out. Ford, on the other hand, already offers you a wide range of cabin options, including premium leather upholstery, massaging front seats, heated front and rear seats, a B&O audio system and much more.

The EPA-estimated ranges for the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV are not available yet. We only have the word of the automaker, which has indicated that there will be a battery pack that provides 300 miles of range and another that provides 400 miles of range. Ford promised 300 miles of range, and the EPA actually estimated it at 320 miles. You also have the option of a smaller battery pack that provides 230 miles, which we like since not all drivers need that maximum range. As for charging, both EVs support Level I, Level II and Level III connections, but we don’t have the data to compare charge times yet.

Both vehicles will have massive high-definition touch screens and all the infotainment bells and whistles that you would expect from a vehicle at this price point. Ford offers an even larger 15-inch screen with its upper trim levels. Ford has also opted to include most of its driver-assistance technologies as standard equipment.
